What is a CC BY-ND?
CC BY-ND, short for Creative Commons Attribution–NoDerivatives, is a Creative Commons license that allows others to copy and redistribute a work as long as they give proper credit to the original creator and do not modify the work.
Under a CC BY-ND license, people are allowed to share and distribute the original work, including for commercial purposes, but they cannot alter, remix, transform, or build upon it. The work must be shared in its original form without changes.
Like other Creative Commons licenses, CC BY-ND requires attribution, meaning users must credit the original creator and provide a reference to the source. This license is often chosen by creators who want their work to be shared widely but want to prevent others from modifying or adapting it.
