What is a De-Noiser?
A de-noiser is an audio processing tool used to reduce or remove unwanted background noise from a recording. It works by analyzing the audio signal and identifying noise such as hiss, hum, or environmental sounds.
Many de-noisers use a technique called noise profiling, where the processor learns the characteristics of the unwanted noise and then subtracts or reduces those frequencies from the audio. This allows the desired sound, such as speech or music, to remain clearer and more prominent.
De-noisers are commonly used in music production, podcast editing, film audio post-production, and broadcast environments. They help clean up recordings that contain background noise while maintaining as much of the original audio quality as possible.
