Tech house is a subgenre of electronic dance music that blends elements of house music and techno. It is known for its driving rhythms, minimal melodies, and deep, punchy basslines. The style typically features a steady four-on-the-floor kick drum, crisp hi-hats, and percussive grooves that create a strong sense of movement on the dance floor. Compared to traditional house music, tech house often focuses more on rhythm and groove rather than big melodies or emotional breakdowns.

The genre developed in the 1990s as DJs and producers began combining the groove-oriented structure of house with the darker, more minimal sound of techno. Tech house tracks often include subtle synth stabs, filtered effects, and repetitive vocal snippets that build energy gradually over time.
