2026 Music Release and Tour Calendar: Fallon, Wilson, Interpol, White, and More

2026’s release calendar packs fresh material and headline tours from veteran artists and emerging voices. Early in the year, Brian Fallon will unveil his fifth solo album, Stephen Wilson Jr. will drop a new single, Interpol will return with a new LP, and Jack White will pair a new studio record with his touring schedule. At year‑end, Spiritualized will mark 20 years of acoustic shows, and Robyn Hitchcock will release a July single.

Brian Fallon, formerly of The Gaslight Anthem, announced that his new album Not Bad for New Jersey will stream on 10 September 2026, with a physical release the following day. The record follows a five‑year gap since his last original solo work. Fallon has also issued the single “Pearls,” which appears on the same project. He said the album reflects the challenges of overcoming adversity, a theme that has long informed his songwriting.

American country‑rock artist Stephen Wilson Jr. issued the single “Preacher’s Kid” in mid‑June. The track is described as a narrative drawn from real stories, with Wilson noting that small‑town life can feel like a “world within a world.” The single is available on major streaming platforms and is part of a broader project that will see Wilson continue to explore personal and regional themes.

Interpol, the New York‑based post‑punk band, is preparing to release its eighth studio album, This Mirror Weighs a Ton, on 28 August 2026. The record is the band’s first in four years and marks their debut with Partisan Records. Two tracks, the title song and “See Out Loud,” have already been released and were recorded at Andrew Wyatt’s Lower East Side studio. The group will support the album with a European tour that begins on 10 November in Copenhagen and will include stops across the continent.

Jack White’s forthcoming album Frozen Charlotte will drop on 10 July 2026 through Third Man Records. The LP is being promoted with the single “Dollar Bill,” which is currently streaming online. White’s 2026 world tour, which kicked off in Gothenburg on 10 June, will feature sold‑out shows across North America and a UK leg that includes Bristol, Newcastle, and Belfast.

Spiritualized will perform a series of acoustic concerts in December to mark the 20th anniversary of the band’s first acoustic shows. The tour, titled Acoustic Mainlines, starts at the Albert Hall in Nottingham on 8 December and moves to Bury St Edmunds, Halifax, and London’s Barbican on 9, 10, and 12 respectively.

English singer‑songwriter Robyn Hitchcock has premiered the track “How To Feel Alright” with his band The Confuser. The single will be released on 24 July and is part of a broader effort to re‑introduce Hitchcock’s distinctive blend of surreal lyricism and melodic guitar work.

These releases and tours illustrate a continued focus on album‑centric output and extensive touring among established artists. The schedule also highlights the persistence of physical releases—Fallon’s album will hit vinyl and CD in addition to digital platforms—underscoring the ongoing demand for tangible media among collectors and dedicated fan bases.

As 2026 progresses, the music community will watch how these projects perform commercially and critically, and how the artists’ touring strategies adapt to current market conditions.
