Spirit Music Adds Elizabeth Lombardi and Taylor Perez to Nashville Team

Spirit Music, a leading independent music publisher, announced on 22 June 2026 that Elizabeth Lombardi will join as Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs and Taylor Perez will become Senior Director of Digital Marketing. Both hires are based at Spirit Music’s Nashville headquarters and are part of a partnership with Lyric Capital Group.

For years, Spirit Music has built its reputation on acquiring publishing catalogs and negotiating deals that put songwriters front and center. The company’s roster boasts writers who have earned multiple top‑chart hits, and its catalog acquisitions have broadened its global reach. The new partnership with Lyric Capital Group—a private‑equity firm that invests in music assets—adds fresh capital and strategic support, positioning Spirit for continued expansion.

Elizabeth Lombardi arrives with a decade of entertainment‑law experience. She cut her teeth in‑house at BMG/BBR Music Group, where she handled publishing matters for the label’s artists. She then sharpened her expertise as an associate attorney at Milom Crow Kelley Beckett Shehan PLC, a boutique firm focused on intellectual property and entertainment law. Most recently, Lombardi served as Executive in Business Affairs in the Music Department at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), a leading talent‑representation agency. She earned a Juris Doctor from Belmont University’s College of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Music Business from Belmont’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business.

"Throughout my career, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the role songwriters play in shaping our industry. I’m thrilled to join Spirit Music and work alongside a team that is passionate about championing creators and protecting the songs that connect with audiences around the world," Lombardi said in a statement to the press. Her responsibilities will span negotiating publishing deals, catalog acquisitions, brand and endorsement agreements, and other business matters for Spirit’s entire roster.

Taylor Perez brings more than five years of digital‑marketing experience in the music industry. Prior to joining Spirit, she held marketing roles at Big Machine Label Group and Warner Music Group, where she managed online campaigns and audience development for the labels’ artists. Perez earned a Master of Science in Music Industry from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati.

"I’m so excited to join the team at Spirit Music because of their commitment to champion both well‑established and emerging songwriters, while maintaining a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. It’s an honor to join the team and I look forward to helping create new opportunities for its songwriters, partners, and catalog," Perez said. Her role will focus on expanding Spirit’s digital presence, engaging audiences across social media platforms, and developing data‑driven marketing strategies.

Spirit Music’s CEO, Frank Rogers, welcomed the new hires, saying, "We are excited to welcome Elizabeth Lombardi and Taylor Perez to the Spirit team. They are both talented, knowledgeable and passionate about supporting and championing all of our songwriters and artists, and I can’t wait to watch them accelerate everything Spirit has in the works!" Rogers’ statement underscores the company’s intent to strengthen its legal and marketing capabilities as it continues to acquire catalogs and expand its global footprint.

The appointments come at a time when independent publishers are seeking to broaden their service offerings and deepen relationships with songwriters. By adding a seasoned entertainment lawyer and a digital‑marketing specialist, Spirit Music positions itself to negotiate more complex deals and reach wider audiences. The hires also signal the company’s commitment to supporting creators in an increasingly digital and data‑centric industry.

As of the announcement, Spirit Music remains headquartered at 1818 20th Ave S, Nashville, Tennessee, and continues to operate in partnership with Lyric Capital Group. The company’s roster includes writers who have contributed to multiple chart‑topping singles, and its catalog acquisitions have expanded its influence across genres. The new hires are expected to play a key role in sustaining Spirit’s growth trajectory and in enhancing the company’s ability to serve songwriters and artists worldwide.
